One of the pastas served at a blog party held in Greenwich (SM City North EDSA)... this wasn't my pasta (as I went for the lasagna), but since different bloggers in the same table went for different pastas, we were able to take pictures of each. Among the four available pasta dishes, this looked the best.
I love pasta in general, but I admit my favorite is the spaghetti. As for the sauce, ever since I have learned how to cook carbonara, I am always going for the cream based sauces... and I do love the oil base sauces, too. The biggest no-no for me would be the seafood pasta (especially the "Sardighetti"), but at times I do try to taste it, just to re-affirm myself that I don't like seafood pasta. Well, I did like the seafood pasta I ate at C' Italian Dining (Angeles, Pampanga) sometime in 2008, but as far as I know it was the only seafood pasta I liked.
For us in the family, pasta is a lifesaver. Whenever we get lazy thinking what to cook, we always turn to pasta to feed us. We have tried all sorts of meat for the sauce - from the canned sisig to the sliced octopus. Pasta is a flexible dish... and as a foodie it has allowed me to experiment and 99% of it has always been good.
