One of the difficult things to do whenever I take home goodies is that I can't let it go. Part me loves seeing the goodies in the box and I just can't open it up and eat it.
Such is what is happening now. Sister and I took home a box of goodies from Max's Corner Bakery, and now that we have eaten all the yummy cupcakes and chocolates, it's time to open up the goodie box, but I was feeling hesitant. I just told myself I'd rather let the family eat it while its fresh, so I checked each of the little boxes to see which will expire first. It was the lady fingers.
Compared the broas I grew up eating, these were actually very soft, kinda like eating mamon. It was delicious, but somehow I still prefer the crunchy ones. We ate all the contents of the box after lunch yesterday, and a little of the ones in my sister's box after dinner. We still have some lady fingers left... if we have rhum, I might try making a tiramisu, but I can't see myself buying a bottle of rhum just to make a dessert. I guess we will just eat it as is.
