Weekend Eating - Grilled Pork

My mind was completely out of date this weekend; mom going out last Saturday made me felt like it was Friday, and I seriously thought yesterday was Saturday (even if I have done some Sunday postings), so my post for this week's Weekend Eating was late. Sorry, sorry.

Welcome to another round of Weekend Eating. Thank you so much to everyone who joined last week, and as always, I am thankful that you're here once again. If you're new to the meme, here are the obvious rules:
  • Post images of a food you ate during the past weekend (Friday included). Please use only images that are your own, or you have permission to use.
  • Do include the code of the badge (check the right side panel of this blog to get the code).
  • Leave your link below once you're done making the post.
  • Visit other participants' blogs and leave a comment love, too.

My share this week:

Grilled Pork

Last February, brother requested cousin Mhai to buy us this big clay pot (about the look and size of a kitchen sink) for us to use whenever we grill. Cousin granted the request, but our problem then was the grill itself, as our grill wouldn't fit clay pot. Mom realized that she has a co-CFC member who has a welding business, and through him we requested a stand and a grill to be made. Cutting the story short, the stand and the grill was delivered last Thursday and brother used it to cook our Saturday dinner.

Brother just grilled some pork cuts and eggplants, while sister cooked the vegetable sidings. It was a good pair, especially with chopped tomatoes and onions. The pork was really tender, and brother said the secret to it was pineapple juice. Hmmmm... :)

Jenn, the Foodie

I come from a family who loves cooking and eating. I never had any formal training in cooking and that I taught myself how to cook based on the handed down recipes, but I could say that I can cook good food. In 2008, I started documenting my food trips for my travel blog, and since I have quite enough to start a food blog, might as well put all those food trips in one location. Thus, a food blog is born - thanks to the new Friendster Blogs. However, due to several problems, I was left with no choice but to pack bags again and move here instead. Here's the permanent address, promise! Enough talk, let the food trippin' begin! {Know More About Me}
