

My share for letter V this week is the Vjandep Pastel, a very well known product from Camiguin. With many branches in Cagayan de Oro, brother always take home boxes of these filled buns, and the last time he traveled there, I was so happy that he took home a box of the chocolate flavored pastel, because it was the one I really wanted to taste.
The buns were so soft that it really melts in the mouth. The chocolate filling wasn't really sweet and it was like eating bread and cake, so delicious! Although this one was quite expensive, I think I would always request for this flavor whenever brother travels to Cagayan de Oro again.











I come from a family who loves cooking and eating. I never had any formal training in cooking and that I taught myself how to cook based on the handed down recipes, but I could say that I can cook good food. In 2008, I started documenting my food trips for my
