Christmas Chocolates

Chocolates

Christmastime is certainly the time when people eat the most amount of sweets they can eat. Here in the Philippines, it's really typical for people to send and receive all sorts of sweet foods - pastries, candies, chocolates...

This box of assorted chocolates were given to mom by an office mate whose wife has a pastry business in their house. Mom ordered crema de fruta for sister's birthday and this came when the cake was delivered. The box had 6 small chocolate cups, and I only got to taste one cup - the one with the wafer ball in the middle. I ate it before I took this picture. Hahahaha.

The rest? Well, they were eaten by brother.

Of course, too much is eaten at this time of the year. But family and food go together so well at Christmas.

These sweets look great. I'll count the calories nest week. Happy New Year!

I didn't miss that joke Jenn! You ate the chocolate before you took the picture - we call that "having your cake and eating it too!" Ha! Happy Ruby Tuesday! :)

Jenn, the Foodie

I come from a family who loves cooking and eating. I never had any formal training in cooking and that I taught myself how to cook based on the handed down recipes, but I could say that I can cook good food. In 2008, I started documenting my food trips for my travel blog, and since I have quite enough to start a food blog, might as well put all those food trips in one location. Thus, a food blog is born - thanks to the new Friendster Blogs. However, due to several problems, I was left with no choice but to pack bags again and move here instead. Here's the permanent address, promise! Enough talk, let the food trippin' begin! {Know More About Me}
