Buco Pandan

Buco Pandan

One of the older pictures I have on file, this probably don't go well with the current weather, but this was the first picture out of the first folder I opened, so I am going with this picture. This was a dessert we had when we ate at Chowking before 2009 ended. They had two new desserts - this, and another one with mangoes and sago, which all of us shared because we weren't really big dessert eaters, we just wanted to eat something sweet after a savory dinner.

As for the quote, I couldn't agree more to it - coconuts are delicious, and we just have to savor its taste while we can still chew, otherwise we will just have to content ourselves eating foods with coconut milk. Hehehehe... Analyzing the quote well, I guess in general we just have to do what we can now, for we might not be able to do it tomorrow. We sure don't want to regret, right?

Hope you are all fine after typhoon Juan.

i love this dessert on cold and sunny days, Jenn.

the quote reminds me too of the old woman who got a toothache for chewing on the hard coconut meat to be served for her visitors. :-)

Jenn, the Foodie

I come from a family who loves cooking and eating. I never had any formal training in cooking and that I taught myself how to cook based on the handed down recipes, but I could say that I can cook good food. In 2008, I started documenting my food trips for my travel blog, and since I have quite enough to start a food blog, might as well put all those food trips in one location. Thus, a food blog is born - thanks to the new Friendster Blogs. However, due to several problems, I was left with no choice but to pack bags again and move here instead. Here's the permanent address, promise! Enough talk, let the food trippin' begin! {Know More About Me}
