Media Noche

Media Noche

We really aren't the type of family who takes the effort to cook and eat at midnight, so usually, we just eat the foods given by the neighbors. This year was different... seeing lots of pictures from friends taken on Noche Buena made me jealous a bit, so I asked the family if we could prepare foods for Media Noche, too!

Brother cooked fish lumpia and prepared the fillings for tacos (the tomatoes and cabbage were still being prepared when this was shot) while mom made fruit salad. Our neighbor Ria was home alone for New Year's Day, so she celebrated it with us. She cooked penne pasta and pizza. Some of the foods here were given by the other neighbors.

It was indeed great to share the first meal of the year with the family. Happy New Year to all!

Jenn, the Foodie

I come from a family who loves cooking and eating. I never had any formal training in cooking and that I taught myself how to cook based on the handed down recipes, but I could say that I can cook good food. In 2008, I started documenting my food trips for my travel blog, and since I have quite enough to start a food blog, might as well put all those food trips in one location. Thus, a food blog is born - thanks to the new Friendster Blogs. However, due to several problems, I was left with no choice but to pack bags again and move here instead. Here's the permanent address, promise! Enough talk, let the food trippin' begin! {Know More About Me}
