B = Barbecue

Barbecue

One of my favorite street foods is the barbecue. Actually, I consider this as one of my top 10 favorite foods of all time. I just love the smell of it and how the smoke actually helps in making it more delicious.

This picture was shot at the Salcedo Village weekend market. I went there to take part of the "Yummy Weekend," organized by Yummy Magazine, and while roaming around, I took this photo. There's a space in the market just for grilled foods, and if you're into grilled foods, it's a paradise for you, so to speak.

Sadly, I didn't buy even just one stick of barbecue because I just ate my brunch and I was still full. Maybe next time. =)

It is icy and cold here today. I will be happy when it is warm enough to barbecue.

This was my favorite street food when we lived in Brazil. They had little traveling barbecues on wheels and I could follow their scent like a bloodhound. Good photo.

Nice shot! Smoke on the grill gives the natural effect for the barbecue.

If I wasn't vegetarian I would lick the screen of my computer! You would like the Quote of the Day today (one of the gadgets on my blog): "Food is an important part of a balanced diet." I couldn't agree more with Fran Leibowitz, whomever she may be.
Big hug! (thanks for stopping by my Boots-entry.)

Jenn, the Foodie

I come from a family who loves cooking and eating. I never had any formal training in cooking and that I taught myself how to cook based on the handed down recipes, but I could say that I can cook good food. In 2008, I started documenting my food trips for my travel blog, and since I have quite enough to start a food blog, might as well put all those food trips in one location. Thus, a food blog is born - thanks to the new Friendster Blogs. However, due to several problems, I was left with no choice but to pack bags again and move here instead. Here's the permanent address, promise! Enough talk, let the food trippin' begin! {Know More About Me}
