Oreo Milkshake

Oreo Milkshake

When I decided to go on a journey to lose weight and be healthy last August, I don't think I looked back even just a bit. Sure, I got lost somewhere, but I never threw in the towel not once. This year has been the strongest I have been, and I only pray to God to give me more strength and endurance to carry on until I reach my goal weight.

I had this Oreo Milkshake last year. I was so raving about it when I tasted it - it was so rich and creamy that it can be a drink and dessert in one. However, if I get offered this drink now, I don't think I can finish up this whole tall glass of milkshake, but I admit I might give it a sip, just to taste it.

It's true, the process of letting go of some things I am used to do takes a lot of responsibilities. My diet is full of flaws, yes, but at this point I am happy with the way my food intake is going because I am now training myself to eat less (especially rice), and once I get the habit stable, I will then make adjustments.

Of course, it's not just diet... but a combination of healthy eating and exercise. That takes more responsibility, but I am taking it.

I share your feelings and experience. Every day is a struggle to eat right and exercise. I miss my favorite foods, but when I do eat them, they don't taste the same because I eat so much more healthier now. The biggest thing for me is food with artificial flavor. It tastes so fake. Who would have thought?!

Thanks for stopping by and linking up for Friday Food Fight. I hope you link up again tomorrow, because we've got a giveaway planned to celebrate our one year anniversary. Hope to see you in the ring!
You are strong! But I know how you feel. After letting go of sweets I find I don't miss them after a while and that when I do have them, they taste SOOOO sweet. Congratulations on your dieting - sounds like it's been great for you.

Jenn, the Foodie

I come from a family who loves cooking and eating. I never had any formal training in cooking and that I taught myself how to cook based on the handed down recipes, but I could say that I can cook good food. In 2008, I started documenting my food trips for my travel blog, and since I have quite enough to start a food blog, might as well put all those food trips in one location. Thus, a food blog is born - thanks to the new Friendster Blogs. However, due to several problems, I was left with no choice but to pack bags again and move here instead. Here's the permanent address, promise! Enough talk, let the food trippin' begin! {Know More About Me}
