

Goto (or arroz caldo, or even as simple as the plain lugaw) is one of my comfort foods. I guess maybe it's because my family would cook this dish whenever I am sick that whenever I eat this, it always makes me feel better.
This image of the goto uses ox tripe, my first time to cook this dish. I usually use chicken, but one time the supermarket had some meat sale, and I quickly got a pack of the tripe (the cheapest of the bunch).
Now that the weather is much cooler, I guess it's time for me to cook this again. Well, not only is this a delicious comfort food, it's also a great partner for the chilly days.
