R - Roasted Chicken

Roasted Chicken

Whenever the family feels lazy about cooking foods for dinner, we would either open canned foods, or brother would go out and buy roasted chicken. We were lucky that outside the subdivision was a market place and there was an area with stalls of roasted chicken for sale, and for its cheap price, it was something really, really good. I guess the secret to a good roasted chicken was the lemon grass... and the sauce, too.

Normally, roasted chicken comes with sauce created by the seller (different stalls, different taste of sauce), but our family loves to eat it with atchara (pickled young papaya). Being hearty eaters, our family of four can certainly finish up a whole chicken. Well, it's not really big to begin with.

I can finish all that by myself. Lol. I'm not kidding. Give me that and maybe 6 beers in one entire lazy day of doing nothing but watch the NBA playoffs on TV and I am very happy man.

Jenn, the Foodie

I come from a family who loves cooking and eating. I never had any formal training in cooking and that I taught myself how to cook based on the handed down recipes, but I could say that I can cook good food. In 2008, I started documenting my food trips for my travel blog, and since I have quite enough to start a food blog, might as well put all those food trips in one location. Thus, a food blog is born - thanks to the new Friendster Blogs. However, due to several problems, I was left with no choice but to pack bags again and move here instead. Here's the permanent address, promise! Enough talk, let the food trippin' begin! {Know More About Me}
