Still From Imay's

Kare-Kare

Because K decided to pay up the foods after checking out of the inn in Dumaguete, we decided to eat all our meals at Imay's. For dinner, I decided to eat Kare-Kare. Not my favorite food, but I wanted to taste it. Whenever I eat kare-kare, I don't really like it with the alamang (shrimp paste)... I prefer it just like that, lacking the salty taste. This one is a bit sweet, but still delicious.

I got home from Dumaguete last night, but I will be out for a few days again, I just found out that this weekend is the Panagbenga Festival and I wanted to watch that. I will take the bus to Baguio City midnight today and I will be back home on the morning of March 6th, but because I will be staying in La Union, for sure there will be an update every day - if I can.

Imay's huh? hehehe I love how you can see the big Check In sign from the stree...which I think overpowers the Imay's sign! hahaha

Hubby and I ate there last year and we are never going back because of slow service! gah! But their food was pretty good.

So where else did you guys eat? There are quite a few local Dumaguete "hole in the wall" restos around...

Jenn, the Foodie

I come from a family who loves cooking and eating. I never had any formal training in cooking and that I taught myself how to cook based on the handed down recipes, but I could say that I can cook good food. In 2008, I started documenting my food trips for my travel blog, and since I have quite enough to start a food blog, might as well put all those food trips in one location. Thus, a food blog is born - thanks to the new Friendster Blogs. However, due to several problems, I was left with no choice but to pack bags again and move here instead. Here's the permanent address, promise! Enough talk, let the food trippin' begin! {Know More About Me}
