Colette's Buco Pie

,

Buco Pie

This image has been in my files since last year. I intend to post this for the longest time, but it had just gone forgotten... until now. This picture's actually old already that I forgot the story behind this - all I can remember was that sister brought this home from Laguna (where else).

So many varieties of buco pie coming from Laguna, but the one I loved the most was Colette's. Their buco pie filling is so creamy and it had lots of buco - really worth it! People mentioned that there's a buco pie that is much more delicious than Colette's, but when I tasted it, I still vote for Colette's.

Buco pie is one of the 'expected' pasalubong whenever I go to Laguna. I like Colette's but I prefer Letty's Buko Pie. Sarap ng crust. :)

I'm dying to try Laguna buco pies. I'm originally from Santa Rosa, Laguna but I can't remember if I had them. This will be in my to-eat list when I go home for a visit.:)

That is my favorite buco pie as well! Very meaty with a hint of citrus. Sarrap!

I come from a family who loves cooking and eating. I never had any formal training in cooking and that I taught myself how to cook based on the handed down recipes, but I could say that I can cook good food. In 2008, I started documenting my food trips for my travel blog, and since I have quite enough to start a food blog, might as well put all those food trips in one location. Thus, a food blog is born - thanks to the new Friendster Blogs. However, due to several problems, I was left with no choice but to pack bags again and move here instead. Here's the permanent address, promise! Enough talk, let the food trippin' begin! {Know More About Me}
