Isaw Bbq

Isaw

In my last night in dad's hometown last Saturday, I decided to do a food trip in the plaza, and my choice of food were these sticks of pork and chicken intestines barbecue. For sure the foreigners reading this post would find the chicken intestine barbecue a bit icky and weird, but really, if you're from this country, lots of people consider it as their favorite street food. Even socialites and yuppies like it. =)

I was supposed to eat lots that night, but my spare change was only enough for two sticks of the chicken intestines (sold at 5 pesos each stick) and one pork barbecue (12 pesos). I had other money in my wallet, but upon asking the stall owner, she said that they just opened the store and they might not have enough to change my money. It's okay, eating these three sticks was more than enough.

This weekend, my family will be traveling to dad's hometown, and for sure my siblings would not miss this for the world.

I come from a family who loves cooking and eating. I never had any formal training in cooking and that I taught myself how to cook based on the handed down recipes, but I could say that I can cook good food. In 2008, I started documenting my food trips for my travel blog, and since I have quite enough to start a food blog, might as well put all those food trips in one location. Thus, a food blog is born - thanks to the new Friendster Blogs. However, due to several problems, I was left with no choice but to pack bags again and move here instead. Here's the permanent address, promise! Enough talk, let the food trippin' begin! {Know More About Me}
