Emperor Beef Noodles

Emperor Beef Noodles

Because the main bridge that connects Pangasinan and La Union collapsed when typhoon Pepeng visited the country, motorists had to re-route and pass by some towns in La Union. The bus then passes by Manaoag Church, so when we went there last October, the whole trip saved us an hour of traveling. The last mass was scheduled at 11PM, and since it was only past 10AM, Aunt Julie asked if we wanted to have some snacks. Chowking was the only fast food near the church, so that's where we had snacks.

I only had half a sandwich for breakfast, so I opted to have something hot. I tried their new Emperor's Beef Noodles, and even though it looked oily and it wasn't presented that good, this one's delicious. Compared to their old beef noodles, this one was much better - the beef chunks were very tender, the soup was comforting, and the noodles are cooked perfectly. Of course, my Aunt would raise an eyebrow because of that oily surface, but I just smiled about it.. I had a great meal. :)

oh that ooks so oily nga!

anyway I've tried this and it's good. I seldom eat in Chowking kasi so surprisingly, i liked one of the items in their menu. The noodles was different from the other noodle soup that they have.. the beef was tender & it's best with chili sauce!!

Jenn, the Foodie

I come from a family who loves cooking and eating. I never had any formal training in cooking and that I taught myself how to cook based on the handed down recipes, but I could say that I can cook good food. In 2008, I started documenting my food trips for my travel blog, and since I have quite enough to start a food blog, might as well put all those food trips in one location. Thus, a food blog is born - thanks to the new Friendster Blogs. However, due to several problems, I was left with no choice but to pack bags again and move here instead. Here's the permanent address, promise! Enough talk, let the food trippin' begin! {Know More About Me}
