Instant Lomi

Because of some another change here in my food blog, I decided to devote one post for Food Friday, and it will feature foods that I cooked!

Instant Lomi

Instant Lomi

The title of this post was a spoiler, for this bowl of lomi wasn't cooked from scratch. This was actually instant lomi from Lucky Me! I first had a taste of this when I went over teacher Rhona's house and she served us this. She kept on asking if we found it delicious, and she was taking some pride that she cooked it... but later admitted that it was instant.

For an instant noodle dish, it tasted really good. So when sister and I went grocery shopping and I saw packets of the instant lomi by the shelves, I bought some and cooked it for breakfast yesterday. It cooks just like any other instant noodles, although I put in an egg to make it creamy. As for the bread toast, I just spread some butter and sprinkled some chopped garlic for added taste. It pairs well with the noodles.

ps - Would like to inform that I will be MIA (missing in action) for four days... my brother and I will be traveling to our paternal hometown and will go on a side trip to Ilocos Sur before heading home. Aunt Julie said we will be saying some prayer intentions for all the departed loved ones, so we have to be there.

My proposed schedule:

22 May (Friday) - Travel to La Union at 10AM; watching the sunset at Paratong Beach
23 May (Saturday) - Stay at home, help with the preparations
24 May (Sunday) - Hear mass in San Juan church; go to San Fernando City come lunch time - visit Thunderbird Resort in Poro Point, then to the provincial capitol for another sunset watch by the Phil-Chinese Friendship Pagoda.
25 May (Monday) - Travel to Candon, Ilocos Sur first thing in the morning then travel to Vigan City soon after. Will stay in Vigan and travel back home at 9:30PM.

Will resume with my regular blogging come Tuesday morning.

Jenn, the Foodie

I come from a family who loves cooking and eating. I never had any formal training in cooking and that I taught myself how to cook based on the handed down recipes, but I could say that I can cook good food. In 2008, I started documenting my food trips for my travel blog, and since I have quite enough to start a food blog, might as well put all those food trips in one location. Thus, a food blog is born - thanks to the new Friendster Blogs. However, due to several problems, I was left with no choice but to pack bags again and move here instead. Here's the permanent address, promise! Enough talk, let the food trippin' begin! {Know More About Me}
