Foodgasm 4: Crave4More

Comments
I am a big fan of food bazaars and weekend markets because I get to see and try new and innovative products. In the four times Foodgasm staged a very "food-coma inducive" event, I was only able to attend two - March of last year, and the one that was recently held.

Foodgasm Crave4More

It was a very sweet privilege to be invited (yet again) as one of the food blogger judges, and taking lessons from the last time I attended, I did two trips - first to take pictures, and second to get samples from all the booths, so I can choose the order of the food I eat, interchanging between savory and sweet choices.

While there, I thought of writing a post showcasing my top 5 choices, but I truly loved everything I tasted that I decided to give every concessionaire an equal treatment by sharing every food my sister and I tried.

Time for Jollibee Tuna Pie
Uh huh... it's that time of the year again, a time for us foodies to enjoy the goodness of Jollibee Tuna Pie! Writing about this gives me mixed feelings - I remember years ago when I dread the idea of eating during the Lenten Season as it would mean no meat especially during Fridays, but now, the promise of eating the beloved Tuna Pie has given me a reason to look forward to this very important part of the Catholic Calendar.

Then and now, the taste of Jollibee Tuna Pie hasn't changed. It still had the creamy peppery flavor, and the big size to satisfy the tummy. It is now available in all Jollibee stores nationwide - 35 pesos for the solo one, and 45 pesos for the value meal. This tasty treat is available only until the end of April, so catch it while you can before it's too late.

If you have enjoyed this savory treat, feel free to share it on social media sites with the hashtag #TimeForTunaPie. Don't forget to tag Jollibee on Facebook (www.facebook.com/jollibeephilippines), Twitter (www.twitter.com/iwantjollibee) and Instagram (www.instagram.com/jollibee) as well.

Watami Japanese Casual Restaurant - Shangri-La Plaza Mall

Comments
More and more Pinoys are welcoming the flavors of Japanese cuisine - and lately, it has been part of culinary adventures, attending Japanese-inspired cooking demo and a food trip with college friends at Watami Japanese Casual Restaurant in Glorietta before I traveled to Pangasinan to be with my mom and other relatives. While I was in Pangasinan, my ever dearest sister shared to me the images and stories of her own Watami experience, which I am happy to share here on the blog.

My sister first heard about Watami thru brother and I, and was very jealous that we got to fill our tummies with Japanese food, one of her favorite cuisines. Time and time again, we planned to set a food trip there, but our schedules wouldn't jive, so she was very elated to hear that another Watami branch opened - at the Shangri-La Plaza Mall.

Watami Japanese Casual Restaurant is all about serving fresh, tasty, and authentic Japanese dishes. From the usual Sushi and Sashimi to the more creative dishes like Clams Cooked in Stone Pot with Japanese-Style Sauce, their menu is extensive and will definitely surprise and tickle your tastebuds with exciting and familiar flavors. From salad to appetizers down to the main course and desserts, Watami got it covered.

For this food trip, my sister tried their Lunch Menu, which offers choices for Rice Meals and Ramen.

Want to Win Tickets for the Bruno Mars Concert?

Comments
On the 22nd of March, the Mall of Asia Arena is going to be set for the Manila leg of Bruno Mars' "The Moonshine Jungle Tour 2014".  It is always a pride and joy for us Filipinos whenever one of our fellow "kababayan" makes it big time, because their success is also our success. I, for one want to watch his concert as he is one helluva total performer, but there are two big factors hindering me to do so - the ticket price and the fact that it is now difficult to buy tickets because there are just so many Pinoys wanting to watch this performance.

Bruno Mars Moonshine Jungle Tour 2014

Are you like me who wants to watch the concert but didn't have enough budget? No need to worry, as the official restaurant of the Moonshine Jungle Tour 2014 here in the Philippines - Max's Restaurant is giving away 2 tickets everyday! No need to visit any of their stores and purchase anything... all we have to do is "like" their Facebook Page (http://www.facebook.com/maxsrestaurant) and click on the promo link to enter your details. Easy peasy!

Only four days left (including today) 'til the concert, so hurry, hurry! Good luck to us.

Jenn, the Foodie

I come from a family who loves cooking and eating. I never had any formal training in cooking and that I taught myself how to cook based on the handed down recipes, but I could say that I can cook good food. In 2008, I started documenting my food trips for my travel blog, and since I have quite enough to start a food blog, might as well put all those food trips in one location. Thus, a food blog is born - thanks to the new Friendster Blogs. However, due to several problems, I was left with no choice but to pack bags again and move here instead. Here's the permanent address, promise! Enough talk, let the food trippin' begin! {Know More About Me}
