February Festivities at the Power Plant Mall

Here in the Philippines, there are two things to look forward to every February: Valentine's Day and Chinese New Year. Have you already made your plans where and how you will celebrate both events?

Kick off love month with these exciting events at the Power Plant Mall!

Celebrate the Brazilian culture as Power Plant Mall brings back Brasilipinas for the fifth consecutive year! Enjoy two days of high-powered capoeira and samba workshops on February 6 to 7 and an exuberant Carnaval party on the 8th to culminate the 10th year of Escola Brasileira de Capoeira in the Philippines.

Both East and West celebrate the Year of the Water Snake starting on February 8. Push your luck because you might win exciting freebies when you get fortune cookies or Ang Pao from the from the Fortune Tree. Enjoy festive cultural performances from the Hoc Kian Chinese Opera Group on February 9 and a spectacular Dragon and Lion Dance around the mall at 10am on February 10. Appreciate the craft of lantern making and live Chinese painting on this special day as well.

The weekend of festivities doesn't stop there as the mood changes from dynamic to romantic. Experience The Sweetest Thing: A Valentine’s Picnic Dinner at the Rockwell Tent with your loved ones on February 14, and indulge in a sumptuous 3-course meal served by Bizu. Let the Manila String Machine entertain you as you create dreamy moments as you watch Valentine’s Day, the movie also at the Rockwell Tent. To cap off the night, the Power Plant Mall will give away exciting prizes and giveaways!

Fall in love all over again and head on over to Power Plant Mall this February and celebrate love. Visit http://www.facebook.com/PowerPlantMall or call 898-1702 for more details.

I am currently single, but "The Sweetest Thing" event surely is something to look forward to... if I have a boyfriend, I'd definitely love spending a dinner date with movie and music on Valentine's Day.

Jenn, the Foodie

I come from a family who loves cooking and eating. I never had any formal training in cooking and that I taught myself how to cook based on the handed down recipes, but I could say that I can cook good food. In 2008, I started documenting my food trips for my travel blog, and since I have quite enough to start a food blog, might as well put all those food trips in one location. Thus, a food blog is born - thanks to the new Friendster Blogs. However, due to several problems, I was left with no choice but to pack bags again and move here instead. Here's the permanent address, promise! Enough talk, let the food trippin' begin! {Know More About Me}
