Chicken Lauriat

Chicken Lauriat

Something I had before 2009 closed.

I do love Chowking's siomai, and their pancit, and their chicken... but whenever I eat the lauriat, I don't understand why it always doesn't look appealing. The pancit canton were all noodles and the chicken and rice looked dried. In some situations, I would enjoy my meal, but in some I wouldn't. Still, I cannot understand myself why I always keep coming back to it. Value for money? Perhaps.

Now that Chowking has revamp the look of their stores, and has come up with two new dishes both of which I still haven't tasted (Orange Chicken and Beef with Broccoli), I sure hope they could also do something about the way they plate their food.

I look forward to eating their again, and should I go for their lauriat again, I hope their plating would be much better.

I was wondering why the Pancit canton on your picture looks so dry knowing that Chowking's Pancit canton is very saucy,it's actually the reason why they are my favorite. :)

It won't be great value for your money if you are not happy and satisfied with the food. Probably hit and miss palagi ang luto nila. I only go to Chowking for the siomai and halo-halo.

OMG. What a coincidence. We had brunch at Chowking yesterday and we tried both their new dishes, Orange Chicken and Beef with Broccoli. The Orange Chicken was really good! I mean, I enjoyed it a lot. The beef with broccoli is just so-so. I hope they don't serve it with too much sauce 'cause it's already really thick. But, the orange chicken didn't disappoint. It's a little spicy. I'd love to try it again! :)

I usually order Chowking's Sweet and Sour Pork Lauriat. Haven't tried their chicken yet because friends say they're usually dry.

Jenn, the Foodie

I come from a family who loves cooking and eating. I never had any formal training in cooking and that I taught myself how to cook based on the handed down recipes, but I could say that I can cook good food. In 2008, I started documenting my food trips for my travel blog, and since I have quite enough to start a food blog, might as well put all those food trips in one location. Thus, a food blog is born - thanks to the new Friendster Blogs. However, due to several problems, I was left with no choice but to pack bags again and move here instead. Here's the permanent address, promise! Enough talk, let the food trippin' begin! {Know More About Me}
