Grilled Bangus at Reyes Barbecue

Grilled Bangus

Mid June, my friend Halie and I met to do some photo walking, and come late in the afternoon we went to the UP Ayala Techno Hub to take pictures and eat early dinner as well. So many food places in the area, and I hoped to eat at Kanin Republic, but she and I didn't have much to spend, so we decided to eat at Reyes Barbecue instead. Good choice for a place to eat at - because I still haven't blogged about this yet. :)

I have eaten their foods (from different branches), but whenever I do, I always order their chicken barbecue or grilled liempo. Halie ordered the grilled bangus, and curious as I was, I decided to go for it, too, just to know how it tasted like.

I am not a big fan of bangus in general, but I did like how they did this one. The marinade was good, the fish meat was firm (yet tender), and pairing it with the atchara, it was just delicious! I would still go for their chicken barbecue, but at least I do know now that I could go for this should I want to have something different.

that is lovely. i think once i kept ordering the bangus meal by Jollibee for a million times. once my friend said, the guy who thought bangus could be eaten made a big mistake because of the endless fish bones in it...and filipinos are suffering for it.

i am not complaining. bangus is my fave fish.

Jenn, the Foodie

I come from a family who loves cooking and eating. I never had any formal training in cooking and that I taught myself how to cook based on the handed down recipes, but I could say that I can cook good food. In 2008, I started documenting my food trips for my travel blog, and since I have quite enough to start a food blog, might as well put all those food trips in one location. Thus, a food blog is born - thanks to the new Friendster Blogs. However, due to several problems, I was left with no choice but to pack bags again and move here instead. Here's the permanent address, promise! Enough talk, let the food trippin' begin! {Know More About Me}
